What is a Marmon connection used for?
A Marmon Connection is a method to join an exhaust connection together. It is a best practice for a tight seal. Flanges and flares are used to join parts together for leakproof and serviceable connection. A V-Band Clamp is then used to join the union together We have a lot of customers that use Marmons to quick disconnect joints to gain access to the underside of the truck.
Marmon connections is made up of 3-4 parts.
1. Flange
2. Flare
3. V-Band Clamp
4. Optional Washer/Seal
